Fall Meeting of Utility of the Future Rates Group (UFRG) to be held October 25-26, 2018.

EI’s Senior Vice President Amparo Nieto will hold the second conference of the Utility of the Future Rates Group (UFRG): Working to Achieve a Smarter Energy Grid on October 25-26, 2018 in Atlanta, GA.  Attendees from US and Canadian energy utilities share their insights on innovative rates and programs that help shape the utility of the future, including reforms to bundled and unbundled rates, alternatives to net metering, as well as new cost of service studies methods, results of time of use rate pilots and DER cost benefit analyses techniques. Discussions may also include alternative regulatory approaches that are tied to performance metrics, and improved network planning that efficiently accounts for adoption of DERs. The presenters receive direct feedback from others in the group as well as from EI’s experts, with a great level of detail and in a relaxed atmosphere. The discussions cover both federal and state regulatory issues affecting utilities around the country. For more information see here.
