Principal Stephen Siwek conducted a study titled “Engines of Growth: The Economic Contributions of the U.S. Intellectual Property Industries.” The study, commissioned by NBC Universal, quantifies the contribution of intellectual property industries to the U.S. economy. In studying what are called the IP industries, the study accounts for the contributions of both copyright and patent dependent industries. The important findings of this study have been quoted, among others, by the Wall Street Journal, Reuters News and the Los Angeles Daily News. To read the report go to NBC-Universal’s website.
