John Geweke holds the Harlan McGregor Chair in Economic Theory at the University of Iowa, where he is also Professor of Economics and Professor of Statistics. Prior to his appointment at the University of Iowa, Dr. Geweke taught at the University of Minnesota; Duke University, where he was William R. Kenan Professor of Economics and Professor of Statistics and Decision Sciences; and the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Geweke is an elected fellow of the Econometric Society and the American Statistical Association, and he has been designated a National Lifetime Associate of the National Academy of Sciences.
Dr. Geweke has authored or co-authored roughly 100 published articles in the fields of economics, econometrics, and statistics. He is co-editor of Journal of Econometrics, past co-editor of Journal of Applied Econometrics, and past editor of Journal of Business and Economic Statistics
Dr. Geweke has been an expert witness in several major litigation matters, and he has been retained as consultant or advisor to numerous private corporations and federal agencies.
