Dr. Andrei is an economist who provides expertise in matters involving disparate impact in employment practices, wage and hour compliance, and the calculation of potential economic exposure in labor and employment matters. She has worked for clients in various occupations and industries including corporations, government agencies, academic institutions, and individuals. Dr. Andrei assists attorneys and human resources professionals in identifying the data required to analyze the employment practices at issue, including hiring, promotion, performance evaluation, compensation, termination, and reduction-in-force decisions. She also works closely with clients to design statistical and econometric models consistent with the employer’s employment practices. Dr. Andrei assists clients involved in EEOC investigations and OFCCP audits, as well as clients who are conducting proactive self-audits of their employment practices. She also prepares economic exposure calculations for class actions and single plaintiff matters.
Dr. Andrei has consulted on wage and hour matters involving FLSA and state claims of misclassification of exempt status, miscalculation of the regular rate of pay, missed meal/rest periods, “off-the-clock” work, and unpaid overtime.
Dr. Andrei has taught courses in microeconomics at the University of Maryland, College Park.
