Senior Vice President Amparo Nieto participated as a speaker in the California Municipal Rates Group (CMRG)’s Conference that took place on May 10-11 in Anaheim. During her presentation, titled “Estimating the System Value of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs)” she discussed innovative pricing options for DERs, and the required marginal cost analysis to capture the locational grid value of these resources. DERs may include rooftop solar generation, any forms of distributed generation paired with customer-sited battery storage, electric vehicles, and demand response resources.
