EI Principal Stephen Siwek prepared the study Copyright Industries in the U.S. Economy: The 2013 Report.

The study was conducted on behalf of the International Intellectual Property Alliance (“IIPA”) and updates 13 previous studies. It is based on data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis and other government agencies. Mr. Siwek has particular expertise in the economic analysis of U.S. industries that depend on the effective protection of copyrights and has published a number of studies that analyzed in detail the economic importance of the U.S. “copyright” industries (including the motion picture industry) to the U.S. economy.
